Fusion Student Roof & Amenity Terraces

London2025

On the Plot 25 Fusion Student roof terrace, we supplied and installed large structural planters that divide the roof into a series of usable outdoor rooms, creating sheltered amenity spaces while supporting robust rooftop planting.

The brief

The terrace had to work hard: open rooftop exposure created wind issues, amenity areas needed clearer zoning, and the planting design had to thrive in a harsh roof environment while still feeling generous and social for student use.

Our response

We used substantial black structural planter runs to break up the roofplate and create distinct zones for sitting, gathering and circulation. The planters act as wind buffers around the social spaces while carrying a resilient mix of shrubbery, gravel-garden planting and sensory species that gives the terrace texture, movement and seasonal interest.
