Bespoke metal planters in Kensington & Chelsea
In the Royal Borough the garden is often the last part of the house to be built and the first part guests see. Chelsea and South Kensington schemes typically arrive from a garden designer with a full planting plan, an exact colour and a set of dimensions that have already been through the client twice. Our job is to hit those numbers precisely.

We fabricate to millimetre tolerances, match RAL or bespoke colours, and detail concealed drainage so nothing marks the York stone underneath. Where a design calls for a curve, we roll it rather than facet it.

Built for Kensington & Chelsea
Curved and rolled work
Chelsea gardens and Notting Hill crescents frequently want a true radius. We roll panels to the drawn arc rather than approximating with facets, and joint them so the curve reads continuous.
Stone protection
Over York stone, limestone and reclaimed brick paving, drainage is a finish issue as much as a horticultural one. We fit concealed outlets and spacers so water is directed away rather than staining the surface.
Basement gardens
Deep basement excavations across the borough leave light wells and sunken courtyards. Planters here need to sit on a structural slab with a limited allowance, so we build light aluminium shells with false bases.
Delivery & access
Most of the borough is controlled parking with strict hours. We coordinate deliveries with the contractor or house manager, protect internal routes when carrying through a property, and can work to weekend or out-of-hours windows for occupied homes.
Planning & context
Conservation area status covers a large proportion of the borough, and many properties are listed. Where planters form part of a street-visible terrace, we supply the drawings and finish references your architect needs for the application.

Kensington & Chelsea FAQs
- Can you match a specific colour from our garden designer?
- Yes. We match RAL, BS and bespoke colour references in marine-grade polyester powder coat, and can supply a sprayed sample panel before production.
- Can you build genuinely curved planters?
- We roll the panels to the specified radius. Faceted approximations are only used where the client prefers that look or the radius is extremely tight.
- Will the planter mark our stone paving?
- Not if it is detailed properly. We set planters on concealed spacers with directed drainage outlets so water leaves the planter where you want it, not across the stone.
