Bespoke metal planters in Hammersmith & Fulham

Hammersmith & Fulham splits neatly between large regeneration sites at White City and Earls Court, and thousands of Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Fulham and Brook Green with narrow, deep gardens. The regeneration work is contractor-led and system-based; the residential work is design-led and finish-critical.

Bespoke metal planters of the kind we fabricate and install in Hammersmith & Fulham — Rooftop bar terrace lined with matte black trough planters and festoon lighting at dusk.

For the terraces, the recurring request is a long, slim planter that runs the length of a boundary wall without eating the garden. We fabricate those to the exact run length, with matched returns and a consistent top line even where the ground falls away.

Local conditions

Built for Hammersmith & Fulham

01

Long, narrow gardens

A 350-450mm wide planter running twelve metres along a boundary changes a Fulham garden without shrinking it. Continuous top lines and hidden joints are what make it work.

02

Regeneration decks

At White City and Earls Court we work to developer specifications, modular runs and phased handovers, coordinating with the deck and waterproofing packages.

03

Riverside frontage

Along the Fulham and Hammersmith reach of the Thames we specify marine-grade materials and account for the higher wind exposure on open river frontage.

Delivery & access

Most Fulham gardens are reached through the house or a narrow side return. We build in liftable sections and joint on site. On the regeneration sites we work to the main contractor's logistics plan.

Planning & context

Conservation areas cover much of Brook Green and parts of Fulham. Where a planter is visible from the street or forms part of a front boundary treatment, we supply drawings and finish details for the application.

Questions

Hammersmith & Fulham FAQs

How long can a single planter run be?
Panels are made up to three metres in one piece; longer runs are joined with flush parallel or flanged returns designed for expansion and contraction, so a twelve-metre run still reads as one planter.
Can you match planters to an existing terrace scheme?
Yes. Give us photographs, dimensions and, ideally, the original colour reference, and we will match profile and finish as closely as the original allows.
Do you work for developers as well as homeowners?
Both. Roughly half our work is developer and main-contractor schemes, the rest is private residential and garden design practices.
